What’s New in Microsoft SharePoint with Copilot.
From organising files and folders to finding information and creating content, Copilot on SharePoint makes it easier to organise files and folders, find information and create content directly in SharePoint.

1. Use Copilot on SharePoint to organise your documents into folders that make sense.
Yes — you read that correctly. You can use a prompt like “Based on the contents of this folder, please suggest a folder structure to organise my files better. Show me a mapping structure.” Then check that all is exactly as you want it and let Copilot know that you approve the structure and it must be applied – and that’s it! -Folders organised and structured exactly how you want them.

2. Prompt Copilot to share documents with colleagues and amend permissions where needed
Need to get a document to a colleague fast? Ask Copilot to share a specific file with a specific colleague, right in the chat. Quick, Easy, Done.
Much easier than opening a file, finding the share icon, typing a name, checking the permission level and hitting send – just tell Copilot what you want in plain English and it handles the rest.

3. Skip the blank page and get Copilot to create draft documents on SharePoint from your SharePoint site’s content.
Create documents in SharePoint without leaving the app.
You can now create a Word document, Excel workbook or PowerPoint deck straight from SharePoint. Say you need a monthly management report: ask Copilot to build it using content that’s already sitting in your site. It’ll pull the draft together for you, check it – remember AI makes mistakes too – amend as needed and you are go to go!

4. Create interactive HTML dashboards with Copilot on SharePoint.
Use Copilot on SharePoint to present key insights with engaging visual reports.
Not sure what that means in practice? Instead of a static screenshot or a wall of numbers in a spreadsheet, Copilot can turn your data into a live, clickable dashboard – think charts, trend lines and filters that you can click through.
Just ask something like: “Create an interactive dashboard based on this quarter’s sales data. Include total revenue, top and bottom performing regions and trend over time. Add filters for region and product.” Copilot builds it, and you’ve got a polished, shareable report ready for your next leadership readout.

5. Track SharePoint documents with approval requests using Copilot
Get Copilot to give you on overview of whats pening, next steps and due dates for tasks that need to be on your radar.
Copilot can help you track approval-related information in SharePoint libraries and lists, highlight overdue items and surface requests that may need attention. Ask Copilot: “Help me track approval requests for this library and create a view grouped by status. Highlight overdue or stalled items and suggest next steps.” It’ll help you keep track of what’s waiting for approval
