This Microsoft Power Platform course prepares learners for the PL-200 certification and the role of a Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant. The course teaches how to use Microsoft Power Platform solutions to simplify, automate and empower business processes using Power Apps, Power Automate and Microsoft Dataverse.

A Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant creates and configures apps, automations and solutions and acts as the liaison between users and the implementation team. Learners develop Power Platform fundamentals by performing discovery, engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts, capturing requirements and mapping those requirements to platform features. The Functional Consultant promotes adoption and effective use of Power Platform solutions.

The course focuses on designing configuring and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps training, Power Automate certification concepts and Dataverse. Solution implementation includes application enhancements, custom user experiences, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation and simple visualisations. This training aligns with Microsoft Learn Power Platform content and supports ongoing Power Platform learning.

This PL-200 training course may contain a 1-day Applied Workshop where delegates can build their own model-driven app from scratch. The workshop is included in the course delivery if time allows and participants are also welcome to explore it independently afterwards. Learners practise Functional Consultant skills by creating an end-to-end solution using a Microsoft Dataverse database, Power Apps app and Power Automate flows.

While no formal prerequisites are enforced learners are expected to have foundational Microsoft Power Platform fundamentals knowledge and general business or IT experience. This course supports Microsoft Power Platform certification, PL-200 training and further Power Apps training courses and Power Automate Microsoft certification learning paths.
